I love my dog, I love my cat, I love my home, I love my hat; I love cake, I love my spouse, I love my children, I love my mouse; I love to be rich, I love, I love, I love.  If it’s all about me, me, my, my, it is Worldly Love.

Worldly love is directed to the person, oneself. It’s not about you, its all about me; my pleasure, my enrichment, my power, my self fulfillment of desires of this world. Worldly Love is sensuous, pleasing to the eye, desire to touch, pleasant to the ear, to smell, and to taste, and greedy, as in covetousness.

Power that drives Worldly Love is Evil, the Evil Desire to conquest, to acquire, to conquer a persons love or favor, to acquire fruits of this world, as in riches or pleasure. When Worldly Love is satisfied as a result of conquering, conquest, scheming, or acquiring, there is no power remaining in the love. Once conquered, that which was perceived as love, no longer has power (worldly love has no power), because, the power is in the Evil Desire to conquer, conquest, control or acquire, as in covetousness, and the Evil (worldly) desire has been fulfilled.

Worldly Love is destructive, to the victims and the victor. The deceived victims of Worldly Love, will be controlled, used, abandoned, and cast aside, as chaff in the wind. The victor will continue on their Evil way of covetousness, their sensual desire is not satisfied with seeing, nor their ear filled with hearing.

Those who serve Worldly Love, instead of serving Jesus, and their fellow man, are on an eternally destructive path, laying up their treasures on this earth, for others to toss away to the wind, and forfeiting their Heavenly home.

Worldly Love abounds in our community, and when joined together in marriage becomes a very weak union. One in two marriages, end in divorce.

There is a way that seems right unto man, but in the end it leads to death. For this ye know, that no seeker of worldly love, or pleasure, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
